A Safer Shop Vacuum

A shop vacuum is a necessity for any DIY’er. However, these things not only suck up dust but they can recirculate very fine particles that aren’t good for your health. We can fix that problem by replacing the standard paper filter with a HEPA filter.

Save Money On HEPA Filters

HEPA filters are a great addition but those are the most expensive filters for the shop vac. We can save the wear and tear on those filters by also using a filter bag with our shop vacuum. This will turn our vacuum into a two stage filter!

But wait! We can do better. Add a cyclone separator and you’ll have a three stage filter! Now we’re talking.

Why Not Just Wash The HEPA Filters?

It’s true. You can rinse your HEPA filters to extend their life as well. I personally don’t feel like it does a very good job though. Give it a try though and see what you think!

An All-in-one Vacuum Station?!

Now if you really want to go crazy (like Chris did), you can organize your entire vacuum setup onto a moving vacuum valet. This thing has everything…high power shop vacuum with filter bag and hepa filter, Dust Deputy cyclone separator, a retractable hose reel, and an attachment organizer.
