I’m Chris Schild with Toolbox DIY. I started Toolbox DIY after coming to the realization that I have accumulated significant DIY knowledge over the last few decades that doesn’t seem to be easily accessible to the masses. When I turn on the television to watch some DIY or home improvement show, I see a lot of great ideas, but not a lot of direction or how-to for most DIY’ers. I see professionals or entertainers showing you how “easy” a project might be without ever telling you how to actually do something! So my mission for Toolbox DIY is to help you learn how to successfully complete your projects. We are going to focus on the two most important aspects of DIY: knowledge and tools.

To help you gain DIY knowledge, our primary platform will be videos. How-To videos are the bread-and-butter of ToolboxDIY, but you also find Know-How videos that give you the background to apply a tool or technique to your projects. Lastly, you’ll find Quick Tip videos which are just helpful hints to save you time and money. When videos just aren’t enough or can’t properly convey a topic, we’ll use blog posts as our secondary platform.

Knowledge is important but you still need the right tools for the job. There are lot of tools out there so to help you on your DIY quests we’ve assembled various toolboxes to provide guidance on what tools you will need. Our signature toolboxes are here to help you build your tool arsenal as your knowledge increases and your project list grows.
